ALEX AND BRETT HARRIS
Alex and Brett (or "The Twins") started a blog called The Rebelution in August 2005. They are sophomores at Patrick Henry College and at 21 years old, they are among the most widely read teen writers on the Web. They have been featured nationally on MSNBC, CNN, NPR, and The New York Times, as well as in publications like WORLD magazine, Breakaway, and Ignite Your Faith. Their first book, Do Hard Things: A Teenage Rebellion Against Low Expectations, is the best-selling Youth Ministry and Christian Young Adult title in the country.
Alex & Brett have grown up in a ministry household. Their father, Gregg Harris, is a well-known homeschool author and speaker, teaching elder at Household of Faith Community Church (Gresham), and director of Noble Institute for Leadership Development. Their mother, Sono Harris, is an accomplished speaker and successful speech coach. Their older brother, Joshua Harris, is a bestselling author, speaker, and senior pastor of Covenant Life Church in Gaithersburg, MD.
Following in the footsteps of their older family members Alex & Brett are speaking out for God with a message to their own generation. They desire to see young people set free from the lies of our culture and fulfilling what history and God's word says teens are capable of. Their hope is that The Rebelution Tour will act as a catalyst for thousands of teens nationwide to wake up and catch fire for God, country and family.
GREGG HARRIS
Gregg Harris is a full-time Christian husband and father of seven children and grandfather of five grandchildren. In addition to his training at Centerville Bible College, the University of Dayton and Wright State University, Gregg has over 24 years of leadership experience in the home-schooling and family restoration movements and over 31 years of passion for Bible teaching and pastoral ministry.
He is an internationally recognized author and conference speaker whose work has helped to start the Christian home-schooling movements in the U.S., Canada, Australia and Mexico. Beginning in 1981, his workshops helped to launch over 180,000 families into teaching their children at home. His bestselling book, The Christian Home School, is regarded as a classic in its field. He is the President and Director of Noble Institute for Leadership Development and a member of the Board of Directors for the Home School Foundation.
Gregg lives with his wife Sono and their five youngest children in Gresham, OR, where he serves as a Teaching Elder of Household of Faith Community Church, an on-going experiment in church planting and local church reform (www.ghofcc.org).
